Brunei Run 2021 a great success (2021)

The highly anticipated Brunei Run in conjunction with the United Nations (UN) International Day of Sport for Development and Peace took centre stage in Bandar Seri Begawan for a second edition on Sunday.

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Mu’min presented prizes to the top three winners for the men’s and women’s 10-kilometre categories.

Karatekas attend joint training session (2020)

The Brunei Darussalam Karate Federation (BRUKAF) conducted a joint training for all karatekas representing the five different affiliated styles under the federation at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex recently.

The five different affiliated styles were Shitokai Karate Association, Wadokai Brunei Darussalam, JKMO Shotokan Brunei Darussalam, IKGA Gojukai Brunei Darussalam and Rengokai Brunei Darussalam.

Brunei eSports winners feted (2020)

Winners of the Brunei Esports Championship 2020 were feted during a closing ceremony at the Bridex Hall 2 in Kampong Jerudong last night.

Participants competed in Tekken 7, DOTA 2, Mobile Legends and PUBG Mobile.

Muhammad Hafiy Mirza bin Haji Mohammad Shafiee continued his fine form in the gaming scene after emerging champion in the Tekken 7 event. Khairul Wa’ie bin Raduan finished second followed by Chua Tze Wei.

Double success for Rodney in under-20 chess meet (2020)

Rodney Lim Teck Guan emerged champion for the second time in the Under-20 School Holiday Chess Blitz after besting a field of 25 entrants at the Brunei Chess Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex on Sunday.

The 17-year old amassed 8.5 points followed by Abdul Zahirul Haq and Wong Tze Yoong.

UNN staff bowl for team building (2020)

A teambuilding event, “The Speed of the Leader is the Speed of the Team”, took place at the Utama Bowling Centre in Jalan Tutong for the Unified National Networks’ (UNN) Network Ops/Network Factory’s six units under the Transport Networks Department on Friday.

Acting Senior Manager Transport & Fixed Access Haji Shamshul bin Haji Zaini noted the event was aimed at enhancing their workplace commitment in areas that have been identified.
